The region will continue to experience cool but pleasant weather through Friday, with temperatures dipping to lows in the upper 40s to mid-50s tonight. Tomorrow will be slightly warmer, with some clouds and sunshine, and highs mainly in the lower 70s. Despite the sustained cooler pattern, D.C. is still running its warmest year on record through May 17, with an average temperature of 52.3 degrees.
