Analiesa Golde, a Portland woman wanted in connection to the murder of her husband, was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound near Long Beach, Washington, after nearly a month on the run. Her husband, Phillip E. Pierce, was found dead from a gunshot wound in their Portland home on Jan. 26. Golde was later named a suspect in his killing and was wanted for second-degree murder. Her body was discovered in southwest Washington, and no further details about the exact location were immediately provided.
A wanted suspect led police on a multi-county chase in North Carolina, resulting in his vehicle catching fire after crashing into a parking lot. The suspect, Jaiquvous Williams, fled the scene on foot and has not been found yet. Large amounts of Fentanyl were discovered in his vehicle. Williams now faces additional charges for possession of a firearm by a felon and felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. No one was hospitalized from the crash.
A shelter-in-place alert was issued for an apartment complex in Colorado Springs due to police activity related to a wanted suspect. Residents were asked to stay indoors and away from windows and doors. The alert was lifted after about three hours when police took one person into custody.
