Overwatch 2 April Fools' patch changes spark player demand for permanence.
Overwatch 2 players are requesting Blizzard Entertainment to make the April Fools character voice lines and abilities permanent after their popularity. The "Very Serious" patch notes included unhinged voice lines for every character, new abilities, and googly eye appearance. Players hope Blizzard will consider keeping the feature, but it is unlikely. Some players suggested a 1% chance for heroes to say the special version, but only during Quick Play and Arcade modes. Blizzard has introduced several wacky features on previous April Fools Days.
