
Fatal Police Shooting in Chelsea: Man Killed After Allegedly Pointing Gun at Officers
A man, identified as 28-year-old Frank Foss Jr., was shot and killed by a Maine State Police detective in Chelsea while officials were carrying out an arrest warrant for him. Foss Jr. was wanted for illegal possession of a firearm and violation of bail conditions related to a prior domestic violence incident. He allegedly pointed a handgun at a Tactical Team member and was shot by State Police detective Scott Duff. Duff will be on administrative leave pending investigation, and the Attorney General's Office will be investigating the shooting.
