Walt Disney Imagineering is designing the new Villains Land at Magic Kingdom using a 'Conjured Architecture' style that blends European Art Nouveau and Modernisme influences with Disney animation, creating an immersive, otherworldly environment inspired by European cities and villainous characters.
Disney World Imagineer Chris Beatty has revealed that the company has taken note of fan interest in a hypothetical villains land, which was teased at the D23 convention in September. Beatty stressed that the presentation was not intended to highlight concrete plans for the parks, but rather his team "dreaming about what could be" ahead. Disney is currently working on a number of projects, including the Tron Lightcycle Run coaster, an overhaul of Epcot's World Celebration plaza, a new Moana-inspired water attraction, and Magic Kingdom's Princess and the Frog reimagining of Splash Mountain.
