Capt. Lacie Hester and Maj. Benjamin Coffey were awarded the Silver Star for their valor during an Iranian missile and drone attack on Israel in April 2024. They were part of a coalition air mission that intercepted multiple drones and managed to continue their mission despite technical difficulties and threats. The ceremony at RAF Lakenheath in England honored 30 service members, including those who received the Distinguished Flying Cross and Bronze Stars, for their roles in repelling the attack.
