
Ethiopian-born US Contractor Arrested for Espionage
A U.S. government contractor, Abraham Teklu Lemma, has been arrested on espionage charges for allegedly delivering classified national defense information to aid a foreign government. Lemma is accused of copying classified information from intelligence reports, removing classification markings, and transmitting the material to a foreign government official associated with a foreign country's intelligence service. The charges carry a potential penalty of death or life imprisonment. The FBI, State Department's Diplomatic Security Service, and Justice Department's Office of the Inspector General are investigating the case.
