Nespresso's Rise Against Keurig in the U.S. Coffee Pod Market
Nespresso, a brand owned by Nestlé, is gaining ground in the U.S. coffee pod market, which has long been dominated by Keurig. While Keurig holds a strong position in the U.S., Nespresso has found success globally and is now making strides in the American market. Nespresso's rise can be attributed to its introduction of the Vertuo machine in 2014, which expanded its offerings beyond espresso. Although Nespresso's growth doesn't necessarily mean a loss for Keurig, it highlights the brand's ability to target a different segment of the market. Keurig, on the other hand, believes there is still room for growth in the U.S. coffee market.
