Antitrust enforcement can help the US stay ahead of China in the race to build cutting-edge technologies, according to Federal Trade Commission Chair Lina Khan. She argued that more aggressive enforcement at home will benefit the US on the international stage, citing historic tech antitrust cases such as IBM and AT&T. Khan said that enforcing competition laws and antitrust has led the US to be the home of cutting-edge technologies, and warned against arguments that monopoly is what will best position the US to thrive internationally.
