Multiple car accidents claim lives of women in North Carolina.
A woman died in a car crash on US 421 near Ward Greene Road in Watauga County, North Carolina. The driver of the Buick, Dena Lawrence Comer, 52, of Elk Park, was critically injured and taken to a nearby hospital in Boone where she died of her injuries three days later. According to investigators, Comer was wearing a seatbelt, but impairment was a factor in the crash.
