Maison DesChamps, known as "Pro-Life Spiderman," faces misdemeanor charges for illegally climbing various tall structures, including the Aria Resort & Casino and the Las Vegas Sphere, as well as buildings in San Francisco, New York City, Detroit, Oklahoma City, and Phoenix. DesChamps has a history of scaling buildings and faces charges related to seven different illicit acts of urban climbing.
A British man, identified as urban climber George King-Thompson, was arrested by South Korean authorities after climbing 72 floors up the exterior of the Lotte World Tower in Seoul without any equipment. He was rescued by fire officers and handed over to the police. King-Thompson has a history of climbing tall structures, including London's Shard skyscraper and Europe's tallest roller coaster in Spain. The parent company of Lotte World Tower said it will review its security measures to prevent unauthorized climbing.
