Rutgers University Faces Multiple Union Strikes and Protests.
The Rutgers Administrators-American Federation of Teachers (URA-AFT) is considering taking a strike pledge, the step before a strike authorization, as the first-ever faculty strike at Rutgers University continues. The URA-AFT includes more than 2,500 workers in facilities, residential life, and dining services. Three other unions, Rutgers AAUP-AFT, Rutgers Adjunct Faculty Union, and AAUP-BHSNJ, are already on strike demanding better contracts.
