Immortals of Aveum, the first major game to use the Unreal 5 engine, disappoints with low FPS performance on high-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 and 4090 GPUs. The more affordable AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX outperforms the RTX 4080 by over 10% and even beats the RTX 4070 Ti by over 20% at 4K resolution. Previous-gen Radeon cards also outperform comparable GeForce cards, with the RX 6800 XT, 6800, and RX 7600 performing better than their GeForce counterparts. To achieve 60 FPS at 1080p, a Radeon RX 6800 or GeForce RTX 4070 is the minimum requirement, while 1440p requires a Radeon RX 7900 XT or GeForce RTX 4080. 4K gameplay is only possible with DLSS 2 or FSR, with the RTX 4090 being the fastest at an average of 44 FPS, followed by the RX 7900 XTX with 41 FPS.
