Former California 'Teacher of the Year' Arrested for Unlawful Intercourse with Underage Student
Tracy Vanderhulst, a 38-year-old teacher at Yucaipa High School, was arrested on suspicion of unlawful sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old male student. She was named Yucaipa High's 2017 "teacher of the year." Vanderhulst was booked into the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino in lieu of $30,000 bail. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is investigating the case with the Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School District.
