"Union Workers Rally in Solidarity with Striking Writers in LA"
The Writers Guild of America West received strong support from sister unions at the "Unions Strike Back" rally in Los Angeles, with Hollywood Teamsters, SAG-AFTRA, UTLA, UNITE HERE, and California Federation of Labor AFL-CIO among those in attendance. The WGA has been on strike for 25 days against the AMPTP, who have yet to agree to meet at the negotiating table. The sister unions have joined the striking writers on the picket lines, and SAG-AFTRA is currently holding its own strike authorization vote ahead of its negotiation with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.
