Ubiquiti Networks has launched the U7 Pro, the first Wi-Fi 7 access point in their UniFi lineup, targeting prosumers, businesses, and enterprises with its affordable price of $189. The U7 Pro features 2x2 radios in 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands, covering up to 1500 sq. ft and supporting over 300 clients. Equipped with a single 2.5 GbE port and powered by PoE+, it offers up to 688 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band, 2882 Mbps on the 5 GHz band, and 5765 Mbps on the 6 GHz band. However, it lacks Bluetooth support and Multi-Link Operation (MLO) will be added in a later firmware update.

Privacy Breach: UniFi Devices Expose Private Videos to Unauthorized Users

Users of UniFi devices from Ubiquiti have reported receiving private camera feeds and control over devices belonging to other users. The issue was caused by an upgrade to the UniFi Cloud infrastructure, which resulted in account mix-ups. During this time, some users received push notifications from consoles assigned to other users, and some users attempting to log into their accounts were granted temporary remote access to other accounts. Reports include receiving notifications from someone else's security camera and having access to other customers' devices and configurations. Tragic Death of Airport Worker Ingested by Plane Engine in Texas

An airline ground worker contracted by Delta died after being "ingested" into the engine of an arriving plane at San Antonio International Airport. The employee worked for Unifi, a company Delta contracts for ground handling operations. The incident is being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board. This is the second incident in less than a year where an airline worker was sucked into a plane engine and killed.

An airport worker employed by Unifi was killed after being "ingested" into the engine of a Delta plane at San Antonio International Airport. The incident occurred as the plane was taxiing to the gate on one engine. This is the second such incident in six months. Unifi said that based on their own preliminary investigation, the incident did not appear to be related to company operational processes, safety procedures or policies.
