
Suspect in custody after unhoused woman stabbed to death in central Fresno
Patricia Roper, a 58-year-old unhoused woman, was stabbed to death in central Fresno. Steven Raymundo, a 36-year-old suspect, has been arrested in connection with the crime. The incident occurred on Griffith Way and Blackstone Avenue, and Roper was found with multiple stab wounds. The motive behind the stabbing is still under investigation. Both Roper and Raymundo were part of the unhoused community. Raymundo has been booked in the Fresno County Jail for murder.
