The publisher Krafton has announced that "The Next Subnautica" is set to be released in the first half of 2025. Developed by Unknown Worlds, this will be the third installment in the underwater survival game series, following the success of the original Subnautica and its sequel, Subnautica: Below Zero. Details about the new game are scarce, but job listings suggest it will explore a new science fiction world and its alien inhabitants. Krafton also revealed other upcoming titles, including the PvEvP extraction shooter Project Black Budget and the action-adventure sandbox Project Gold Rush, both targeting release dates in 2024 and 2025 respectively.

Miraculous Survival: Man Trapped in Oceanic Air Bubble for 3 Days

Harrison Okene, the man who survived three days in an air bubble at the bottom of the ocean after his boat capsized, has retrained as a diver. Okene, who was the lone survivor of the overturned tugboat in 2013, now makes underwater repairs on oil and gas facilities and can dive to a maximum depth of 165 feet. The harrowing experience has not deterred him from the water, as he finds it to be a peaceful place and has faced his fears by pursuing a career in diving.

Markiplier's directorial debut: Iron Lung film adaptation.

YouTuber Markiplier will direct, star in, and adapt the 2022 underwater survival horror game Iron Lung into a feature-length film using his own script. Caroline Kaplan will co-star, while Will Hyde and Jeff Guerrero will produce alongside Markiplier, who is self-financing the project. Iron Lung's creator, David Szymanski, has confirmed that the movie is a separate canon from the game and will be feature-length.
