The transportation company, Regency Transportation Ltd., that owned the bus involved in a fatal crash in New York was listed as an "unacceptable operator" by the state after failing several safety inspections. The bus, carrying high school students to a band camp, crashed off Interstate 84, resulting in the deaths of two teachers and injuries to multiple students. The company had failed five out of 15 safety inspections during the state's 2023 fiscal year.
