Identical Waypoint Markers Trigger UK ATC Meltdown: NATS
UK air traffic control provider NATS has revealed that a systems outage, which disrupted thousands of flights on August 28, was caused by a flight plan containing two identically named but separate waypoint markers. The UK Civil Aviation Authority will investigate whether NATS breached regulations.
