Several exciting third-party games have been announced for the Nintendo Switch this summer, including titles from Summer Game Fest, Devolver Digital, Future Games Show, Ubisoft Forward, and Capcom. While there has been speculation about Persona 3 Reload coming to the Switch, there has been no official confirmation yet.
Ubisoft unveiled the debut cinematic trailer for Star Wars Outlaws, the "first-ever open-world Star Wars game," at the Xbox Showcase. The game follows a young female outlaw named Kay Vess and her partner Nyx as they attempt a heist against a massive crime syndicate in The Outer Rim. The first gameplay walkthrough will be part of Ubisoft's Forward presentation on June 12. Star Wars Outlaws is set to launch on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC in 2024.
Summer Game Fest (SGF) is the biggest mid-year opportunity for game developers to reveal new games and hype up their upcoming releases. Most major game developers will attend SGF in some capacity, including Activision, EA, Microsoft, Sony, and Ubisoft. The schedule includes events from Double Fine, Devolver, Tribeca Festival, Xbox Games Showcase, Starfield Direct, PC Gamer’s The PC Gaming Show, Ubisoft Forward, and Capcom. SGF Live will be on June 8th at 3PM Eastern, and you can watch it through the presenters’ many social channels.
Ubisoft Forward product showcase will feature Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, The Crew: Motorfest, and tease an unannounced title. Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR is coming to the Meta Quest store this year, with the game’s full reveal planned for Ubisoft Forward. Twitch viewers will be eligible to earn Twitch Drops rewards for multiple games. Ubisoft recently confirmed its release schedule for the current fiscal year includes Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Mobile, Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence, Skull and Bones, The Crew Motorfest, XDefiant, and “another large game”.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, an open-world action-adventure game, was delayed to 2023-2024 and will feature a new story with players as a Na'vi on a journey across the Western Frontier. The event will be preceded by Summer Game Fest, Xbox Games Showcase, and Starfield Direct.

Ubisoft has announced that it will not attend E3 2023 and will instead host its own event, Ubisoft Forward Live, in Los Angeles on June 12th. The French video game company stated that it had decided to move in a "different direction". This follows confirmations earlier this year that both Nintendo and Xbox would also be skipping the 2023 event.
