Honda is set to release the 2026 Prelude, combining Type-R handling features like dual-axis struts and Brembo brakes with hybrid efficiency, adaptive dampers, multiple drive modes, and advanced tech including Honda Sensing and Android Automotive, with an expected price range of $38,000 to $40,000.
California-based tuner Evasive Motorsports has created a restomod called the S2000R, which imagines what a theoretical S2000 Type R would have been. The S2000R uses the modern Civic Type R's turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, making 306 hp, and features weight-saving carbon and titanium, chassis reinforcements, and the Type R nameplate's signature white-on-white look. The S2000R uses custom KW Clubsport coilover suspension with uprated bushings and a chassis brace, and stopping power comes from six-piston front and four-piston rear Brembo brakes. The S2000R pricing has yet to be announced, but Evasive Motorsports says existing S2000 owners will be able to have their cars converted to S2000Rs.
