The latest version of Google Maps for iPhone includes hidden code references to Live Activities, a feature that allows users to view turn-by-turn directions and ETA in a live-updating Lock Screen notification. The feature is not yet functional but is expected to be available on the Dynamic Island of iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Apple is anticipated to expand the Dynamic Island to all iPhone 15 models, which will be unveiled on September 12.
