Tulane Set to Hire Troy Coach Jon Sumrall as New Head Coach
Tulane University is reportedly close to hiring Jon Sumrall as its new football coach, following the departure of Willie Fritz. Sumrall, who has achieved a 23-4 record with Troy and won back-to-back Sun Belt Conference titles, was previously a finalist for the Duke job and considered a frontrunner for the Kentucky position. Tulane is coming off a successful season, with a 12-2 record, an American Athletic Conference championship, and a Cotton Bowl victory.
