Severe Storms Threaten Florida with Heavy Rain and Flooding
The Tampa Bay Area is expected to experience tropical storm-like conditions on Saturday night as severe storms, including the potential for tornadoes, move across the region. Pinellas, Coastal Hillsborough, and Coastal Manatee counties are under coastal flood advisories, high rip current risks, and high surf advisories. A wind advisory is also in effect for several coastal counties. Drivers are advised to exercise caution on wet roads and avoid flooded streets. Sunday is expected to be mostly dry with gusty winds and cool temperatures.
