AEW Collision on August 12 featured tag team wrestling, including The Acclaimed vs. The Iron Savages and Krist Statlander/Willow Nightingale vs. Diamante/Mercedes Martinez. Ricky Starks was suspended for attacking Ricky Steamboat but vowed to still be on the show. Samoa Joe defeated Andrew Everett in a squash match and called out CM Punk. Luchasaurus defeated Brock Anderson in a TNT Championship match. The main event saw House of Black retain the Trios Championship against CMFTR, with Samoa Joe attacking Punk. Overall, the show set up future matches and had some entertaining encounters.
