"Arizona Tribe Protests Border Patrol's Unprosecuted Fatal Shooting"

The Tohono O'odham Nation in Arizona criticized the decision by the U.S. Attorney's Office not to prosecute Border Patrol agents who shot and killed a member of the tribe. Body camera footage showed that the agents were concerned the 58-year-old man may have been armed, but no firearm was found. The tribe called the decision a "travesty of justice" and may seek Congressional inquiries into the incident. The U.S. Attorney's Office stated that the agents' use of force did not constitute a federal criminal civil rights violation or a criminal violation under Arizona law. The Tohono O'odham Nation is protesting the decision and demanding answers.

"Burning Man 2023: Clash of Activism and Festivalgoers Escalates to Gunpoint Confrontation"

Tribal police in Nevada drove a truck through a climate protest blocking the road to Burning Man, arresting demonstrators who were demanding the festival ban private jets and single-use plastics. The activists, from Seven Circles and Extinction Rebellion, had locked themselves onto a trailer and clashed with those trying to attend the event. The police claimed they received a call that someone in the crowd was going to shoot the activists. The protesters were arrested for trespassing on tribal land.
