Brightline's high-speed rail service between Orlando and South Florida begins today, with the first train arriving in Orlando from Miami just after 10 a.m. The service will offer 16 daily round trips with hourly departures, connecting Orlando to destinations such as Miami, West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, and Aventura. The 37,350 square foot station in Orlando is located next to Terminal C at Orlando International Airport and offers amenities such as a bar, retail shop, free Wi-Fi, and charging stations. Tickets start at $79 one way, and the trains can reach speeds of up to 130 mph, making Brightline the fastest train in Florida and the Southeastern United States.
