Eastern European Countries Collaborate to Boost Ukrainian Grain Imports via Upgraded Black Sea Ports
Romania's government plans to upgrade the road infrastructure in the Black Sea port of Constanta, aiming to double the monthly transit capacity of Ukrainian grain to 4 million tonnes. The government has already upgraded railroad lines connecting Romania to Ukraine and is working on improving navigation on the Danube. The project in Constanta Port, costing $155.67 million, will repair existing infrastructure, build new roads, and launch a digitized traffic management system. These efforts aim to support Ukraine's grain transit and enhance regional interconnectivity.
