Blaze engulfs Tiffany & Co.'s flagship store in Midtown Manhattan
A fire broke out at the Tiffany & Co. store on 5th Avenue in Manhattan, originating from a transformer vault in the street. The fire caused smoke to billow into the building's basement, leading to the evacuation of nearly 100 people. The fire was brought under control by noon, with two minor injuries reported. The store is currently closed, and it remains uncertain if it will open on Thursday. Con Edison crews are working to repair the underground electrical equipment that caught fire.
