Migrant smuggling incidents on the rise, cartels take control.
A man has been arrested and charged with conspiracy to transport illegal aliens resulting in death after a dozen Honduran migrants were found trapped in a sweltering train car near Uvalde, Texas. Two of the migrants were pronounced dead at the scene, and 10 others were taken to area hospitals for treatment. The suspect, Denniso Carranza Gonzales, claimed to be a "foot guide" for the migrants and said he had been smuggling groups from Piedras Negras to San Antonio for about three months. This was one of two fatal smuggling operations on train cars in South Texas last week.
