Massive Bus Collision in NYC Leaves Dozens Injured
A collision between an open-top tour vehicle and a city MTA bus in downtown Manhattan has left 18 people injured. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Ropes and ladders were used to rescue the passengers, and an additional 63 people are being evaluated for possible injuries. Fortunately, none of the injuries are life-threatening, with most being cuts, bruises, scrapes, fractures, and head and neck injuries. The collision involved a tourist bus operated by TopView Sightseeing, which had two decks, complicating the rescue efforts.
