Southern Miss and Samford advance as Auburn and Penn bow out of NCAA baseball regionals.
The Auburn Tigers were eliminated from the NCAA Regional after losing 7-2 to Southern Miss in the elimination game. Southern Miss will face the loser of Saturday night’s Penn vs. Samford game at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Auburn left 11 runners on base, including six in the last three innings. Bryson Ware broke Auburn’s single-season home run record during the SEC Tournament.
