Court Denies Josh Duggar's Appeal for Child Pornography Conviction
The federal appeals court has upheld the child pornography conviction of former reality TV star Josh Duggar, rejecting his arguments for a new trial. Duggar, the oldest son of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar from the TLC show "19 Kids and Counting," was sentenced to 12 years in federal prison last year. His appeal sought to suppress incriminating statements he made to federal authorities and overturn a lower court's decision to deny the mention of another person's previous sex offense convictions during the trial. The court ruled that Duggar's statements were admissible and that the district court judge did not deprive him of his right to present a complete defense.
