
Tim Very, Manchester Orchestra’s Longtime Drummer, Dies at 42
Tim Very, the longtime drummer for Atlanta alt-rock band Manchester Orchestra, has died at 42; the band announced the news on Feb. 14 without sharing a cause of death. Very joined Manchester Orchestra in 2011 and played on Cope (2014), A Black Mile to the Surface (2017), and The Million Masks of God (2021), contributed to the 2023 EP The Valley of Vision, and was also a prolific session musician and co-founder of Super Canoe. Manchester Orchestra described him as a beloved, radiant presence and noted his dedication to the craft, with a March live album release planned.
