A woman in Virginia purchased a vase from a Goodwill store for $3.99, only to discover it was a rare piece of Murano glass from the 1940s. The vase, part of architect Carlo Scarpa's "Pennellate" series, sold at auction for $107,100, exceeding the auction house's expectations by $50,000. The lucky finder, Jessica Vincent, was initially drawn to the vase's weight and solid construction, and upon noticing the "Murano" marking, she decided to buy it.
