Bryan Ansell, the co-creator of Warhammer Fantasy Battle and former managing director of Games Workshop, has passed away at the age of 68. Ansell was instrumental in transitioning Games Workshop from a distributor to a leading manufacturer of tabletop games. His legacy includes the creation of the iconic Warhammer Fantasy Battle game with Rick Priestley and Richard Halliwell. His death coincides with a resurgence of interest in Warhammer's original setting, The Old World, which is expected to see a reboot later this month. Games Workshop has yet to comment on his passing.
