The Nintendo Switch version of Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is currently unplayable on February 29, seemingly due to it being a leap year. Players are encountering a black screen upon booting up the game, which appears to be caused by the game's check for today's date to see if it's the user's birthday. Square Enix has not yet commented on the issue, but a workaround has been discovered by changing the console's clock to another date. This glitch comes as an embarrassing mishap for Square Enix, especially as it coincides with the launch of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
