IATSE and Broadway League Reach Tentative Agreement, Averting Theater Strikes
The Broadway League and IATSE have reached a tentative agreement on the pink contract, which covers about 1,500 IATSE members working on 45 theatrical shows. The agreement is pending ratification and comes after the theater crew union warned of a potential strike. The previous contract had been in effect since July 2019, and while progress has been made on issues like health care and housing, there are still sticking points around wages and rest periods.
