Star-Studded Premiere of 'The Six Triple Eight' Celebrates Tyler Perry's Directorial Debut with Oprah
Tyler Perry directs Oprah Winfrey for the first time in his new film, "The Six Triple Eight," which tells the story of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, the only troop of Black women to serve in Europe during World War II. The film features Kerry Washington as Major Charity Adams and Winfrey as Mary McLeod Bethune. Perry wanted a role worthy of Winfrey, who plays a significant historical figure. "The Six Triple Eight" premieres in select theaters on December 6 and streams on Netflix from December 20.
