Disney’s 20th Century Studios has confirmed The Simpsons Movie 2 will be released on July 23, 2027, nearly 20 years after the original, with the first poster featuring a drawing of a pink donut by Matt Groening. The sequel's plot details are still unknown, but it will arrive around the time of The Simpsons season 40, filling a gap in the Disney movie schedule previously occupied by an untitled Marvel project.
