
Music Mogul Seymour Stein, Who Discovered Madonna and More, Dies at 80.
Seymour Stein, the co-founder of Sire Records and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, has died at the age of 80. Stein signed legendary artists such as Madonna and The Ramones at Sire, and was also a former vice president at Warner Bros. Records. He began his career in the music industry as a teenager working at Billboard. Stein was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005 and received the Recording Academy’s prestigious Trustees Award in 2018.
