The upcoming DLC for Pokémon Scarlet And Violet, titled The Hidden Treasures of Area Zero, introduces a new technology called The Synchro Machine, which allows players to directly control their buddy Pokémon and explore underwater realms as Pikachu. The DLC also features an influx of Legendary Pokémon and the ability to properly fly while riding Koraidon or Moraidon. The details of battles and the possibility of carrying this ability back to the main game are yet to be revealed.
