The first news on Gears of War 6 may be coming this summer, as hinted by Kinda Funny Xcast's Parris Lilly and seemingly verified by Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb. Xbox studio The Coalition has reportedly shifted its focus to the next Gears of War game, with rumors suggesting a potential Unreal Engine 5 teaser and a launch game for next-gen consoles.
Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski expressed willingness to consult on the franchise but has not been contacted by Microsoft or The Coalition, stating that it would be a smart move for them to seek his input. Despite his history with the franchise, Bleszinski has moved on to other ventures after his time at Epic Games and Boss Key Productions, and is currently focused on new projects including comics and stand-up comedy.
