Christina Hodson has been hired to write The Brave and the Bold, DC Studios' Batman movie directed by Andy Muschietti. The film centers on Batman and Robin and is not tied to Matt Reeves' Batman, with Hodson bringing prior DC experience from The Flash and Birds of Prey. The project is in development with no release date yet.
Andy Muschietti, director of The Flash, has been chosen to direct Batman: The Brave and the Bold, the first Batman film in James Gunn and Peter Safran's new DC Studios continuity. The film is based on a Grant Morrison comic series and will feature Bruce Wayne's Batman and his biological son Damian as Robin. Muschietti's handling of Michael Keaton's Batman in The Flash makes him a good fit for the project. DC Studios' other projects include Superman Legacy, The Authority, Supergirl, Swamp Thing, and several TV shows.
