Nightmare at Sea: Terrified Passengers Battling Storm in Bay of Biscay
A cruise ship carrying about 1,000 people was caught in a fierce storm in the Bay of Biscay, leaving 100 passengers injured. Terrified passengers described massive swells and howling winds that caused the ship to shake. Many passengers wrote goodbye texts to their loved ones fearing the ship might capsize. The ship's automatic safety system kicked in, causing the boat to veer and stop, resulting in most of the injuries. The ship stayed put until the weather cleared up, and five people were taken to the hospital upon docking.
