Spartanburg Shootings: Coroner and SLED Investigate Officer-Involved Fatalities.
Terrance Gault, 55, was killed in a standoff with police after he fired at deputies and officers who were trying to serve him civil papers at his home in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Gault continued to shoot at officers from inside his home, prompting officers to return fire. After a brief pause, officers heard a gunshot from inside the home and found Gault on the floor with an apparent gunshot wound. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is investigating the incident.
