"Canada Introduces Temporary Visas for Gaza Residents with Canadian Family Ties"
Canada's immigration minister, Marc Miller, announced that people in the Gaza Strip with Canadian relatives will be able to apply for temporary visas to Canada. The program is expected to be operational by January 9th and will prioritize individuals with extended family connections, such as parents, grandparents, siblings, and grandchildren. However, the Canadian government cannot guarantee safe passage out of Gaza. The visas will be valid for three years, and while the exact number of individuals who will be able to come to Canada is uncertain, it is expected to be in the hundreds.
