Jaguars Stadium Renovations: Bold Move or Hardball Play?
The Jacksonville Jaguars are considering two options for the construction of their stadium: building while playing at the stadium or building while vacating their stadium for at least two seasons. The latter option would require the team to find a temporary venue, possibly in Orlando or Gainesville, and cost over $125 million. The former option would take four years instead of two and cost an estimated $190 million more. NFL teams typically do not leave town for stadium renovations or construction, but the Jaguars may have to make an exception.
