"Inside Out 2: Unveiling New Characters and Personal Insights"
Pixar's upcoming movie Inside Out 2 explores the emotional landscape of a teenage girl, introducing new characters representing emotions like Anxiety, Envy, Ennui, and Embarrassment. The film's story team, mostly made up of women, drew from their own experiences as teenagers to shape the authenticity of Riley's journey. Director Kelsey Mann was inspired by Uncut Gems in framing Anxiety's scenes and developing the movie's visual language. The filmmakers also met with a group of teenage girls for feedback and auditioned Maya Hawke in a back room at Disney World. Inside Out 2 hits theaters on June 14.
